Nashville Express, specialised in country music and pioneers of Bluegrass (American folk music) in Brazil was founded in April 1979 by music lovers with the goal to research and preserve this type of music using typical instruments like the 5 string banjo, fiddle (violin), acoustic folk guitar, mandolin, acoustic bass, and dobro. At present their work is directed towards country rock a strong creative style which includes new instruments like the electric guitar, drums, electric bass and pedal steel guitar. The music performed by Nashville Express is mostly from other groups and american artists but also includes a few of their own songs. Over the years they have performed at theaters ,bars, parks, conventions, horse jumping events, rodeo, dances and private parties with a great degree of success.
Due to their present line up, composed of three Brazilians and one English guy, Nashville Express have created their own style and personality attracting large numbers of fans of all ages and social types interested in this type of music.
Their objective being to give an enjoyable show, different and authentic, bringing to the public a different rhythm with lots of song and dance.
